to my youngest nephew who was recently accepted into the med school of his choice. Not sure what area of medicine will catch his eye but he's a very good student and I'm sure he'll do well no matter what he chooses.
I cut out Tim's Hanging Sign from cardstock and distressed it with various brown and black inks (can you see a bit of the faux woodgrain look?) before running the sign through a Provocraft folder for the word 'congrats'. I then added more highlights to the word with darker distress inks. The background was stamped with Tim's stamps (bet he never thought they'd be used to indicate a profession!) in Black Soot so that when I smooshed brown and black distress inks over it the images smeared, taking away any sharpness. I really like this look! A black marker was run around the edges to create a faux layer.
