Oh, Tim...I can't thank you enough for bringing these crazy bird images into your collection! They are helping me recognize anniversaries and birthdays in such special ways!
Using the small hearts from Crazy Talk, I created a background with Watermark Resist Ink. The plaid layer is from a piece of glossy cardstock and Dee Gruenig's Posh Impressions Magical Sponge and inks. (Remember this technique????)
The birds were stamped twice on watercolor paper and colored with distress inks and markers. The second image allowed me to cut out the wings and facial features separately.
The accessories were also stamped on watercolor paper and colored with distress inks and markers. The sentiment was stamped in Jet Black Archival Ink. Bits of foam tape elevate the birds; their wings are adhered only at the edge or top so that they appear to give movement. Can't wait for the matching thinlits dies for the accessories...lots of fussy cutting I'd rather let Sizzix do!
I drew over the lace ribbon on her hat with a Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter Pen. The three hearts were coated with Glossy Accents.
