Not your usual wedding card

You won't find a card like this at your local Hallmark store!

The source of my inspiration can be found here.  Seriously, I could live in this woman's blog.  Her work with dies is simply amazing!  Her scenes are to die for (no pun intended!).

I used Karen Burniston's open door die, TH brick wall embossing folder, Martha Stewart Branch Punch and those small flowers that can be found in the bridal department at Michael's.  I buy white and color them to suit the art.  Sometimes these fit the idea better than a realistic or more dimensional flower.  The USPS is also kinder to them, I don't care how well you package them.

The heart inside the open door is an old Sizzix die (computer generated the couples' names, the stamp is from Stampin'Up.  There are some small ivy leaves and they're from Susan's Garden (Sizzix).  The sentiment on the inside of the card was computer generated.

  1. I love this card! I just bought that door die at the Sizzix sale. You have given me a great idea on how to use it. I love kittiecraft's site. I check every day and she always has something new. I don't know how she gets so many cards done. I never would have thought to use it as a wedding card. It turned out so pretty......hugs.....dianne
